The Hendrick I. Lott Homestead Restoration Project

Lott House Tour
In 1909 Charles Ditmas called the Lott House the finest in all of Kings County

Today the Lott House is in a state of disrepair but, it's original grandeur is still evident.

The House was constructed in 1800 and incorporates the 1720 house of Hendrick's grandfather Johannes. The 1720 section was a salt-box style house that now sits between the lean-to section (the extremem right hand section) and the main section of the house

This photo is of the foundation walls that were uncovered during the archaeological field school. They, and the artifacts asscociated with them, are all that remains of the stone kitchen
