300th Anniversary Holiday Celebration

November 17, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Get into the holiday spirit in a unique and festive way at the Hendrick I. Lott Housetree lighting Saturday, December 7.

The Hendrick I. Lott House will be celebrating its 300-year anniversary. Built in 1720, with an expansion in 1800, the Lott house is the longest single-family owned and occupied home in New York City. Exterior renovations took place on the house, but unlike other Dutch farmhouses in the city, the inside remains untouched, preserving the architectural fabric of its long, storied history.

The holiday celebration will include a tree lighting, kid-friendly games and crafts, a visit from SinterKlaas himself and performances from local Brooklyn school choirs. Tom Campanella, professor, historian and author raised in Marine Park, Brooklyn will be in attendance and signing his newest book Brooklyn: The Once and Future City.
